Re: 200 NL How is this line??
[ QUOTE ] Are you kidding me?? [/ QUOTE ] No. If villain is loose and bad his pushing range is fairly wide and IMO we're ahead here. He could have limped with an overpair, he could have called you flop raise with a deuce, he could have a straight. I like betting 25 cause it looks weak and I want him to call with a weaker hand and I don't mind a raise to get all my chips in. You can't draw any conclusion when he calls you flop raise his calling range is absurdly wide here. |

Re: 200 NL How is this line??
bet fold turn? no way. bet-3bet is much better. are you really that afraid of him boating you here? i like being aggressive and trying to play for stacks here. he is ovb bad if he limped OTB. lets take as much of his money as he is willing to give us.

Re: 200 NL How is this line??
You are getting yourself in a lot of trouble trying to trap/playing scared on the turn. I think your hand is sneaky enough that you can afford to play this pretty straightforward, and then make the correct fold if necessary...
I think a small 2pair from a loose player reraises your CR on that flop and maybe folds to a push, thus the only Full House he has is a big one with a 55, 33 or 66... That said, his river reraise is too small to rep a big fullhouse IMO.. As a loose player, he is playing this hand pretty conservatively. Thus, I put him on something like 4 7 or maybe just the 4. Tough laydown...and definitely an unfortunate turn/river. |

Re: 200 NL How is this line??
I'm betting the turn always and looking to get all in against a bad/loose player. You're giving up quite a lot by checking the turn as a lot of his range is calling another bet. Him filling up on that turn card is rather unlikely as he would need to be playing 23, 25, or an unlikely set. But he will never be getting away from a hand like A4, and might go broke with 77 on the turn or just call down, etc. But seriously, just keep betting the turn.
As played you're chopping too much to fold the river so I'd call. |

Re: 200 NL How is this line??
Yeah betting flop seems good. Villan checking behind would be a disaster for you, in terms of building a pot here. Who knows? In a perfect world, donkish villan cold calls and thinking SB with a piece of the flop and a draw gets funky with a raise?! If villan is loose and bad as you say, I would bet turn and probably call a shove too. To any true donk, 99+ is the nuts here. As played, I hate what's happened on the river. Hard to imagine it's a stone cold bluff. That said, it could be a chop with something like A4. It would be a bit of stretch to assume villan has limped OTB with what could now be the nuts, 22, 66, 2x etc. Might be a silly value bet from villan with A2 or the like. That $33 would be better spent on the turn. |
