Re: weird turn spot w aj
weird indeed. i'd just push. CO has garbage for sure unless he has precisely 888. If BN has a pair below JJ, that's awesome and sometimes he has no pair which is even more awesome.

Re: weird turn spot w aj
are there hands that co could possibly call with that we would want him in for? or are calling and pushing close to the same?
on the other side, does he fold 888 here ever if we push rather than call? |

Re: weird turn spot w aj
hmm slightly worse than 2:1, its a one hell of a profitable shove if BN has a draw here a lot.. I don't know why a draw shoves though, looks like a big hand to me... unless you have some sort of read?
I guess he has something goofey here enough to make up the times you have 30% equity vs the straight, oh and as for co I definitely want fold equity vs his range more than anything, so aiaiaiaiai |

Re: weird turn spot w aj
man i instantly fold here - what are we trying to accomplish by pushing? what hands can button have that we're ahead of even occasionally?

Re: weird turn spot w aj
I think this is a fold. And reraise preflop, and lead flop imo

Re: weird turn spot w aj
I'd reraise preflop to ~$65 preflop, especially after a weaksauce late position open. As played, shoving is aweful since you're just drawing and its very likely someone has 888 or JQ, and I wouldn't be surprised if they both had these hands the way this played out. As played... fold turn.
