Default Three surprising NFL lines---can anyone explain??

All lines are on WPEX:

Eagles +7 at Cowboys
Ravens +3.5 at Steelers
Saints +3 at Giants

The Eagles, Ravens and Saints all seem to be good bets here. I am surprised that the Saints are dogs to NYG given how poorly the Giants have been playing and they've lost 5 of their last 6. I understand their backs are against the wall but the Saints are still playing for a first round bye.

Also, for the Eagles game, it seems this game will often be closer than 7 pts, am I wrong?

thanks much.

I don't really like any of those games. I could make an argument for betting either side.

I like the Saints small. They've been a better road team than home dating back to the Haslett era, and the Giants at home in desparation mode has yet to really work for them.
Also like the Eagles small, but will probably stay away. I generally think Dallas' homefield stinks, but it might be an advantage on Xmas - I know a lot of the Eagles aren't happy about playing that game.
I think the Steelers are going to win (do these two teams ever not split?), so I'm staying away from that too; would bet on Pitt if it was closer to a pk.

Philly is playing their 3rd straight road game... I'm actually leaning towards Dallas, but it's probably a pass for me.

The 3rd straight road game use to be a must go against. Almost everyone is aware of it now, though. Just trying to note that you'll need more of a reason than that go to with the Cowboys.

The Ravens and Saints are likely looking ahead to the playoffs.

in philly, Bledsoe had Dall at the goal line to tie it up at the end.
romo>bledsoe
garcia<mcnabb
and it's at dallas. who has a great run game which is phl's weakness.

Bal is only 1/2 game behind SD for home field thru-out playoff. Not endorsement for game, just FYI.

I would highly, highly advise anyone not to bet on the eagles. This is the 3rd road game in a row for the eagles, which is a trend that hits over 85% of the time. It's a trap game. While 7pts is a lot, I still like dallas, and I LOVE this trend.
