Re: Beginner FAQ....Tips and Drills Inside-All Levels
The pond starts on the side of the green and wraps in front to cover 2/3 rds of the approach - red stakes. If I hit the green side and it rolls back in,I can drop within 2 club lengths of the spot I hit on the green?

Re: Beginner FAQ....Tips and Drills Inside-All Levels
Another newbie tip from a newbie:
If you are having trouble hitting consistent shots (which you probably do ), try REALLY slowing down your backswing. I'm talking about literally moving the club so slow that you could pretty much stop it at full "height" and take your shot from there. This IMO took my game from "newbie" to "I can see myself being put into many situations where legit pars are definitely within reach". Totally crazy. At the range on Sunday I made this adjustment, and suddenly every club is doing heaps better. My woods are going straight, and irons are getting massive height and going somewhat consistent distances (within 10y). |
