I think at 25NL the calling range for a 3-bet is either AK or a pocket pair. The only hands you're ahead of against the average villian is AK. If it gets all in on the flop I think you're really likely to see a higher PP.

I think when you have your 3-bet called with this hand you're really looking to flop a set. I don't know if I like the reraise on the flop because you put so much of your stack in the middle. I would just try to get to showdown.

Once he calls your 3bet, you need to be really careful. I think just calling the flop would be good, and folding to more aggression on the turn. I try not to play a huge pot with mid pocket pairs even tho the board is all under.

I'm thinking villain has either higher PP, AK, or a set on the flop here. Think I would have taken the same line as you did, although it does depend on stats Once on the flop, the huge odds dictate a call - there is a chance he is driving a heart draw or has AK.

I don't like the 3bet preflop because it creates a big pot when you don't want to be playing for stacks with 99 unless you flop a set. Even when the ideal flop comes with 3 under cards like here you still aren't comfortable going all in.

I'd rather call preflop and try to take down a small pot and be able to fold without losing too much if i face a lot of aggression

Call preflop, you have position and a good but not great hand. As played, I call flop. The donk on flop could be weak or strong, hard to say readless. You can't really push over this bet and can't fold to shove if you raise. Call and push over turn bet or fold. Bet if he checks.
