Default Boooring

Unclear if this hand is discussion worthy:

$20-$40

SB: Decent 40ish Asian Man, plays reasonable pre-flop but makes some weird donk bets with gutshots and random holdings, especially on the flop. He went 3 bets on the flop and turn vs. me on a board of J1043 when he had A10. He was not winning.

BB: Decent TAG, alittle on the too tight side

I had raised the last 2 hands and taken them down pre-flop. I had also raised my button an awful lot this game.

Hand: Folded to me on the button and I raise because its what I do if people fold to me on the button and I still have cards, which I usually do.

SB and BB call. I looka t my hand. Turns out to be A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]10 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] , what a pleasant surprise.

Flop: A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Nice. SB donks, BB folds, I just call.

Turn is 10 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Nice. SB bets, I raise, SB 3 bets.

Not so nice. I????

I'd call down. I'm not ready to fold aces up in a button-steal vs. blind-defense situation. He can have KT or A4 just as easily as 44/QJ/whatever. Him not slowplaying the flop lessens the chance of having 44 or AK.

Don't blind raise here, in limit hold 'em. There are a lot of hands you should be folding in this spot. When you wake up with what really is a raising hand - your value doesn't compensate for the bets you've thrown away in past orbits blind raising with crap.

4-bet the turn (whether you looked at your hand pre-flop or not).

I was just kidding. But with these 2 peoples in the blinds I have a wider raising range than normal.

Given your read, it sounds like 4-betting might not be a bad strategy. I just hate reraising re-reraising the turn when I actually have to call the next bet and make a spite call on the river when I miss my four outer.

So I probably just call down.
