2p2 Help me choose my new video game!

So because I care about grades this semester, I'm limiting myself to buying one more game before winter break. Currently I've been playing lots of Halo 3 and Orange Box and enjoying both of them. As for my general tastes in games I love shooters, but I do also dabble in other games like Splinter Cell, KOTOR1 & 2, Diablo 2, SupremeCommander, C&C3 and GTA: San Andreas.

From what I can tell, my choices are:
1. CoD4
2. Crysis
3. Mass Effect
4. Super Mario Galaxy
5. Assassin's Creed
6. Kane and Lynch: Dead Men
7. UT3

Obviously I have a 360, Wii and a decent PC (4600+ AMD dual-core, ATI X1950XT 256 mb, 2 gigs of decent ram, running XP).

So 2p2 ... help me out!

From what I hear, you should probably skip Crysis unless your rig is cutting edge.

if you updated your rig to handle Crysis, I'd say that would be your best option.

Little replay value, not as good as System Shock 2, meh. If he's gonna get one game it probably shouldn't be something that's done in 10 hours.

In terms of my own personal pre-game-release boner levels, I'd go Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed, then Mario. I'm thinking Mass Effect is going to take a long time to finish though so maybe you should stick with something else if you really care about your grades...

Assassin's Creed for the nextgen capabilities love. Mario for the dorky retro love. I dunno which I'd pick.

Assassins Creed would without a doubt be my pick if I had to choose before winter break, it's a lock baby.

If you are a big Bioware fan Mass Effect is a definite option though, I wouldnt get UT3 unless you were a rabid fan, CoD4 looks like its gonna be sick but chances are won't last you long, and Kane could still suck IMO or be annoyingly flawed in a lot of ways (it is IO Interactive afterall).

I agree that while Bioshock was sick, it was addictive and short, and it's one of those games (IMO) you'll have to wait a while for to get your replay value out of it.

CoD4 looks like it should last the longest (except for maybe mass effect). It will have a great multiplayer component.

Wow man, bad time to limit yourself, but I understand it.

Personally for me all of those are must haves aside from Super Mario Galaxy (Not a mario fan), can't wait for them.

Kane and Lynch is my underdog huge hopeful I think. The rest are just guaranteed to be sick I imagine.

Having to just pick one I guess I'd get Mass Effect, but it would certainly be sans fistpump.
