That's standard practice when a member goes around openly violating a ban right after it happens. I'm perfectly capable of discussing this situation with him in a reasonable way, but he is banned from the site until a mod says otherwise. There is e-mail he could use, or he could have kept things private with an alt by PM and not posted. He did not do either of those things, and I'm only going to discuss this with him by e-mail at this point.
Everyone seems to think I have it out for this member or was involved in the ban. Neither is true. The extent of my involvement has been with the accounts he's used afterwards. That's not to say I object to the original ban, just that some people seem to have the wrong idea.

But we aren't going to say, "Ok, you're banned, but you can go ahead and resume posting immediately anyway. While you're at it make sure to announce yourself with an identifiable name and note your intention not to respect the mods decisions in the future."
