Does it even matter who the manager is for most clubs? How much of a difference in wins/season is there between the best manager in history and some random guy off the street who watches a few games a year and sportscenter? And then how about the difference between the best in baseball and the worst in baseball? I say like, 5 in the first case and 1-2 in the second.

Why does it seem like CWS fans cannot admit the team sucks? It seems someone is always having to mention that PECOTA had them at 72-90 when a CWS fan says anything close to "We couldn't see this coming with our team", etc...

Probably because most baseball fans think you buy dogfood at PETCOA. I'm a White Sox fan in the WTF? camp myself.

He should have been let go! He sucks and is an idiot. They should hire John Kruk.

Was watching the game tonight on mlb.tv to see Tribe win again and the White Sox announcer mentioned the extension saying "He has already brought us one ring, I expect 1 or 2 more before this contract is up".

Haha, good one!

Most people have probably heard this, but just in case, this audio clip from Mike North's radio show earlier this year is classic.

Mike North is up there with Jay Mariotti in the list of Chicago sports media that I [censored] hate. I'm glad Ozzie took them both down a peg.

Major league managers have come out and said that Bobby Cox wins at least 10 games just by his managing alone. Look at all the tight races going on now and thats huge.

Ozzie's players resond to him. That's one of the most important things about managing. He's an above average manager.

Other MLB managers say it, so it must be true...
