Re: AK, river play
I bet more on the flop and turn, I probably call river. Probably some really poorly played two pair, I don't think there's value in raising.

Re: AK, river play
Bet more on flop and turn. As played call the river.

Re: AK, river play
i think you should raise the river smallish. $120 looks good.

Re: AK, river play
What was your plan on the turn with that less than 1/2 pot bet? As played, call.
That flop is great for you and I don't see any reason to make a CB here, because there are no draws to fear. I like to check such flops and start to act on the turn and river. When I check these flops, lots of Villains pay me of huge because they think I'm sitting there with a missed KQs or 99,TT, maybe QQ. |

i think not betting this flop is generally a mistake vs. most villans. i like betting for value. |

[/ QUOTE ]I didn't think he was going to call 3/4+ PSB on the turn AND river with a weaker Ace, but I did think he would call 1/2 and 1/2. Checking the turn is an option, but then we can only bet 70ish on the river. If he calls the turn bet of 44, I can bet 90ish on the river and I gained an extra $64. Its a line I've been experimenting with some lately and haven't really come to a conclusion yet. It has allowed me to make smaller river bluffs vs some regs, and it has allowed me to get more value out of monsters as well because I've been seen 3 barreling TPTK or less, so they obv call down with bottom 2 when I have better...but they don't notice that the bets were larger. |

Re: AK, river play
That turn bet sucks - in fact all your bets are too small. I typically call river. I can see a raise being OK - but it makes your hand so obvious. Saying that - a 42/16 aint fold Ax here

Re: AK, river play
def bet more, a large part of your winrate comes from vbetting and you are just leaving a lot of money on the table vs this villain. id raise river to $133 and fold to a shove.
