Default 20/40 and 80 on the river limit holdem

I will be playing in this home game next week. The read on the game is 8-11 players, 6-12 hours, weekly, insane action, huge swings, white collar professionals and trust fund babies. I'm looking for a different take on adjusting my game (pre-flop, flop, turn and river) to the double big bet on the end. Thanks in advance for any help.

This lowly chimp awaits your wisdomness.

Chimp(?),
Can't really recall a lot of details apart from the obvious delayed raises, but get hold of a copy of "Middle Limit Holdem" by Ciaffone & Brier, it contains a chapter on this structure towards the end.

Ah yes, the big river bet structure, a favorite of mine (lotsa 3/6/12 in Louisiana). Basically your implied odds go WAY up, so play your good draws very aggressively. Preflop in late position raise hands like T9s, Axs, try to build a big pot. Then after the flop if you get a powerful draw, you'll usually have 4-5+ people chasing the pot, thus giving you mega +EV pot equity, so try to cap the betting. Loose wild games of big river bet poker are almost like no limit... top pair hands no good, straights and flushes and sets win the huge $$.

Hope this helps a little.. good luck! Wish I could play in that game..
