Default KK heads up, i need some help

Hi, this is only my second post on the forum, and my first hand post, so i hope it works out. Tell me if I made any format errors.

What is the best play on the turn here? I had only played a few hands so I didnt have a read on him except that he was maybe loose. Should i have put him on the ace and check/fold? Or just go into check/calldown mode. By the river I didnt think he had the Ace because he was very passive on the turn, so I called his bet.

What should I have done on the turn and river here? Feel free to comment on my poor play if it is incorrect. Thanks alot.

Explain, please. What does it make sense for the villian to have given the action?

You played fine. It's almost irrelevant what he holds. You're not going to soil yourself and c/f because of the turn card. You're also not to fold getting 8-1 on the end when Villain donks.

You can't check/fold anywhere, or go into "check/calldown mode"...you have position.

Without a read, there's really no other way to play this. What did you lose to (just curious)?

Edit: I'm going to revise myself; check behind on the turn, call when he bets the river. You'd like to showdown, you're not worried about giving a freebie, you ARE worried about a c/r that you can't fold to, and you can't really expect him to call the turn with a worse hand.

KQ or JJ. Villian bets out instead of checking because he doesn't want Hero to check behind on the river.

Initially I think checking the turn is fine, but I'm afraid that it's influenced by results oriented thinking.

Standard play should be to bet turn, check behind river. I can't even imagine what he's bluffing on the river there, so you should probably fold. This board is exceptionally horrible for our hand -- under most similar circumstances I would call that river bet.

It turns out he had AJ. He must have been afraid that I had AK or AQ, so when he saw the jack he bet. so did i mostly play this properly? I figured when he bet into me on the river i was beat, but wouldnt it be a mistake to fold there?

IMO turn spot depends on the aggressiveness off the villain (or history with another solid aggressive player) ...

bet/fold
bet/call - call river
check behind - call river

it really depends on how much of a tard the guy is and how many bets you want to put in the 2nd pair on an ace high board

***

villain's line doesn't have to mean he thinks you have AK, AQ ... villain's line can means he thinks you'll fold if he check-raises or donks

IMO: he would have bet out on the river regardless of the river card

this line gets the most bets out of the soft 'curious' player ... I use it often
