Default AJ with a raised flop, small pot

This is one of those typical small pots that you see a lot of. I just want some feedback on my play here. Notice that opponent is a short stack.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (5 handed)

UTG ($15.05)
MP ($15.30)
Button ($4.10)
SB ($21.95)
Hero ($25.50)

Preflop: Hero is BB with J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
1 fold, MP calls $0.25, Button raises to $1, 1 fold, Hero calls $0.75, MP folds.

Not much info on opponent, he seems to play ABC poker. Raising to 4xBB on the button leaves him with a lot of possible hands, maybe I should have re-raised or folded here?

Flop: ($2.35) 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $0.5, Hero calls $0.50.

No hits, I figured there is a good chance he did not hit either, so I call his small bet. He is now down to like 2.50 left. I do not push as he'd only call with better hands not not fold many better hands.

Turn: ($3.35) 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $1, Hero calls $1.

I keep calling his small bets, he is now down to about 1.60. I again don't push for the same reasons as above. I probably should've folded here already?

River: ($5.35) K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $1.6 (All-In), Hero folds.

Final Pot: $6.95

He bets his last chips and I finally fold. Not a very interesting hand, but I just want some feedback on my non-interesting pot play

Why are u calling?

I totally dont understand this.

If anything, reraise the turn to represent the five but you're just calling there.

He's a shorty too, so I wouldn't be trying anything tricky on him.
