NL100: Top set finds resistance
Villain is about 30/15 over 30 hands only.
Question is - does he ever hold anything but TJ here? Is this a great spot for an impressive fold? Stack sizes: Hero: $106.85 CO: $49.30 Button: $124.45 SB: $113.80 BB: $35.40 Pre-flop: (5 players) Hero is UTG with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Hero raises to $4, CO calls, Button calls, SB folds, BB calls. Flop: 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($16.5, 4 players) BB checks, Hero bets $12, CO folds, Button calls, BB folds. Turn: K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($40.5, 2 players) Hero bets $34, Button raises to $68, Hero? |

Re: NL100: Top set finds resistance
if he has JT you shouldnt fold even knowing his cards considering you have direct odds to fill up

If you fold this, quit poker.

Re: NL100: Top set finds resistance
so what's the best play on the turn? just call and reevaluate river? or simply just shove?

Re: NL100: Top set finds resistance
Rereading the hand, I realize this post was a bit silly.
I was so amazingly sure he had TJ with his turn minraise, but could of course not fold it. I shoved and he had TJ. River blanked. I guess I just wanted to make sure I couldn't fold this. |
