Default Sticky situation with QQ

Villain just joined the table. Did I play this bad?
I probably should have bet more on the flop.
Should I have checked the turn? Bet more on the turn?

I think you know what the problem here is.. You have to bet more. Nobody is going to fold a flush draw or very many hands when you are betting 1/2 pot.

1/2 pot is laying nearly 3 to 1. So especially on a board like this where the biggest fear is a flush draw, you have to bet more. Bet 10 min.

Betting small has made the turn very hard to play. And it can't be that good of a card for you. As played I'm probably checking behind and re-evaluating the situation when the river hits.

I bet about $9 on that flop. Also, when you check to him on the river you are giving him the go-ahead to shove, at least make a blocking bet.

if hero makes any kind of decent blocking bet, dont we have to call a push?

My bad I saw he was UTG and didn't realize you were in a blind.

I got nothing. If I had only bet that amount on the flop I'd expect a lot of hands to be taking shots at me if I checked the turn. But then again we have no reads and the Villian is UTG. I put him on an ace or the flush and probably just check fold.

This demonstrates why you absolutely have to bet more on that flop. We are lost on the turn here.
