Would you rather have Romo/Housh or Addai/McNabb/Marshall?

[/ QUOTE ]

this depends completely on your running backs. If your core isn't god awful, I'm inclined to take Romo/Housh.

[/ QUOTE ]

In the long run it isn't awful, but it's looking worse and worse. Maroney and Rudi have been battling injuries all year, and I'm pretty thin after that.

[/ QUOTE ]

yea, that's pretty bad. I'd take Addai and McNabb and shop either Rudi and Moroney around a bit for a decent wide receiver. Look for the guys who have nothing at running back.

it really depends on your situation in the league. if your 6-0 you can afford to sit on your team a bit and wait for rudi to heat up and maroney to get healthy. if not, you gotta make a move and Addai and McNabb would be a move

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm 4-2(T-3rd in the league), so while I'm not pressed to make a move, I think I need more production out of my running backs to have a shot at winning the league.

I could also try to package DeAngelo Williams in the deal and to try to get Roy Williams instead of Marshall.

Some dude in my league has VY/Griese and his RB core is Purple Jesus/Frank Gore/Cedric Benson, so I'm proposing sending him Philip Rivers (45 overall) for Frank Gore (54th overall).

He'll probably counter with Cedric Benson. Ugg. If he does that I'll try another team trade.

[/ QUOTE ]

WTF. No chance anyone would take this. A bad QB for one of the best RBs.

[/ QUOTE ]

Huh? Rivers has to have the biggest upside out of himself, Young, and Griese, no? And he's already got Purple Jesus and Ced Benson (lol).

I know he probably won't go for it, but I really don't think it's that one-sided for me. I think it would make both our teams better.

If you can convince him to deal based solely on YTD scoring when his player has had a bye and yours hasn't (Derrick Ward for Reggie Bush ftw), then go for it.

Why not offer him a small upgrade at another position, if you think there's a chance of getting Gore for Rivers?

Ugh, I missed out on grabbing Michael Bennett and I have Earnest Graham. Hopefully Graham gets some decent carries, although last week he was junk in his starting role. For those that haven't heard, Bennett to the Bucs.

Chambers to the Chargers, too? I'm wondering if he has value, too. I have Vincent Jackson and he's kinda hit and miss in the LT-Gates heavy passing game. EDIT: Nevermind, too slow on that one, too.

Someone in my league dropped Lee Evans. Any value at all left in him for a team with a mediocre receiving core (get well soon Andre Johnson, pleeeease)?

more importantly, do I waste my #1 waiver priority on Booker now ? I really have no place to start him, he'd be pure trade bait.

Good point. I just grabbed Booker. Not sure if he's worth waiver priority though. Hope he's still a FA once waivers are up.

I have 8 moves left. Luckily Almost none of my guys will be on teams who will bench stars on week 17. But those 8 spots are for breathing room.

I could drop Evans/Selvin Young/Warrick dunn for Booker. But man it's really purely on the hopes that he starts catching 8 balls a game, and then I still only have a month till trade deadline. bah !

I also have Graham, and yes his numbers look crap last week, but he actually wasn't bad for what he was given (Titans run D is tough). Dan Dierdorf praised him several times for his effort, even when he was fighting for 2-yard gains on bottled up screens and such.

We knew the Bucs were going to bring *somebody* in- Bennett is better for Graham's chances than some of the other possibilities.

Absolutely. This is definitely an option. Especially in FF where giving up 2 for 1 isn't a big loss (due to the small rosters you are allowed to keep anyway).
