Default Another horrible turn card.... <sigh>

Semi-loose aggressive 15/30 game. BB and UTG are unknown to me. However, I saw UTG showdown a first-in, open-limped 95s in MP1, so I think we can assume he's loose.

My image is tight aggressive and other players have made comments that I'm playing tighter than normal. Which was probably true, as I've had not many good hands PF.

UTG open limps, I raise JsJd in UTG+1, all fold to SB who calls, and UTG calls.

Flop: QJ8, one diamond.
checked to me, I bet, both call.

Turn: 9d.
checked to me and I?

Simple autofire?

Yeah. It'd be closer if the turn card completed some open-enders instead of a gutshot (or completed flush and straight draws), but even then I'd still bet. Loose players will call with all kinds of crap and you've got a redraw even if you are behind, so just bet.

You have the best hand far too often to check. Bet both turn and river unless you are shown resistance. If you bet turn, and are only called, not raised, only card you despise is a 10.

But because you are pointing out the one diamond flop, with a diamond on the turn, you got runner runnered by Qd6d...

Bet and wait for one of two things:

They both muck, or one (or both of them) check-raises.

Call and fill up. Raise the river and profit.

In all seriousness, you have the best hand here far too often to check behind. Grit your teeth, close your eyes, and brace yourself for the check-raise, but you must bet here because I think you'd be suprised how often you're good.

Alright, everyone here is going to advocate betting (as do I, 97% of the time), but for whatever reason I got MUBS and checked.

River: Ad
SB bets, UTG raises, I?

Turbomuck. You think a set is good here on a flush board where any T makes a straight and there's a river bet and raise?

P.S. -- to Goober... you say the 9 would be a worse card if it completed an open-ender and not a gutshot, but actually AT had an "open-ender" here (double-gutted, but still an 8-out straight draw) where any K or 9 was good.

Good point. AT is a very reasonable hand for either player to have her as well. Of course it doesn't change the fact that we should bet the turn

As for the river, I fold it too. The fact that we checked the turn makes it a bit closer to call, but it's still not that close.

This turn isnt really that bad. Id bet and bet the river again UI. Fold river, you're good here 0% of the time.
