400nl- 3bet pot against fish
Three hands ago, he minraised me on sb with AA, and I 3bet AK, then he min 4bet me and I just pushed and he won the pot.
two hands later I isolate him on button with 96s, river two pair and raise his river bet and he called me light. He basically has not impressed me with his play so far, and he seems pretty bad. He said in chat right before this hand, that I am tilting after my AK stack off (which I am not...pretty standard stuff). NL 2/4 MP ($344.40) Button ($744.30) Hero ($560.50) BB ($400) UTG ($344) Preflop: Hero is SB with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. 2 folds, Button raises to $14, Hero raises to $46, 1 fold, Button calls $32. Flop: ($96) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero bets $70, Button calls $70. Turn: ($236) 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero checks, Button bets $130, Hero raises to $444.5 (All-In), -300 more to him Not sure about benefits of leading and how bad checkraising is here.... My read is that he is pretty bad, so I question my FE here. |

Re: 400nl- 3bet pot against fish
Your strategy against weak players/callingstations is to get all of the money into the middle w/ A high all time its possible??
I lead a turn for about 100-120$. I think checkraise allin is the worst play against this type of opponents. |

Re: 400nl- 3bet pot against fish
I think you've answered your own question to an extent when you ask how bad the check-raise is. I only think you are ahead pre-flop, and your fold equity is pretty low for semi-bluffs and continuation bets against a player who believes you to be on tilt, who may be a bit fishy, and is almost certainly winning.

Re: 400nl- 3bet pot against fish
He has KQ, he's calling you. You have 27% equity. He's betting 130 into 236 = 130 into 366. You need 36%.
This is standard against normal players, not morons. Here is a spot you should probably just fold. |

Right, that's what I meant. He's definitely calling a river bet large enough to make this a +EV call.

Re: 400nl- 3bet pot against fish
As played, c/c it. As standard against good player, check shove it. As standard against this idiot, I bet it. He won't always have a strong enough hand to continue and you've only shown strength.

Re: 400nl- 3bet pot against fish
The posts are coming too fast aisle. I don't hate a second-barrel. He's not likely continuing without a Q, whereas the amount of hands he'll try and bluff steal with are quite large.
