Badbeat:

Thanks, man. Due to that post, I went and searched through my archives, and found another Hironaka fight where he steamrolled Forrest Petz. Took him down at will, he's got great judo. Didn't tap him out, though.

However, considering Hironaka's lack of standup, Alves' higher experience in BJJ than Petz', and Alves' absolute stuffing of Tony DeSouza's takedown attempts, I'm going to stick with my Alves bet. Although I'm strongly considering halving it.

Sounds like Alves put a beating on Hironaka - TKO'ed him in the 2nd with a leg kick after knocking him down twice. Hazelett submits Goulet early with an armbar and Maynard wins with a flash KO in 9 seconds (not a typo).

Holy [censored] what a punch from Quarry...he was getting his ass kicked until the KO however, he looks like a shell of his pre-Franklin self.

They both looked plodding and slow. Good for Quarry though

Agreed, though Quarry looked especially slow.

This remote interview segment is LOL.

"Shogun's first fight in a cage."

Uh...didn't he fight in a cage at the IFC tournament?

95% of people watching don't know that IFC ever existed.

Rogan's usually good about referencing a fighter's past history, though.
