I witnessed the fight tonight and then played in the very same 75/150 O8 game. They weren't 86'd from the casino as both of them returned later. I have 90% of the story but I'm too tired to post it as I just got in from the Bellagio.

Well that is the most gossip I've seen from the Bellagio in a while.

Time for Surf to investigate?

what does 86'd mean?
and if it just means "thrown out of" then where does the expression come from?

I believe it's a Navy term in layman's terms means "no more". Thought it was used when a sub was out of torpedos. Very commonly used in restaurants when they're out of food--cook or manager will tell staff "86 the lobster".

The term 86'd goes back to the first restaurant Delmonicos. ... It was item 86 on their menu and was sold out one night, hence the term 86'd.
