Re: Interest bad beat story
Rottersod is right. This was a bad beat. Most place in NCal also play AAAJJ or better. About 1/2 have a super BBJ with Quad 8888's beaten (typicall 100,000$). No one said anything to her. She didn't understand the need to have both cards play AND it specifcally would take two other people to have pocket pairs of JJ or better. (Only three instances possible KK/QQ, KK/JJ QQ/JJ). So I can't see how anyone can complain too much.

Also, I'm pretty sure that some casinos don't pay out the full 100%, keeping as much as 10% to seed the next jackpot. [/ QUOTE ] They do pay out 100% of what's advertised. For example Gold Strike is 311k. One that is hit their new BBJP is over 200K. So again if you were at the GS and hit it that would be 311k and if it was hit the next thand it would be 200K+ FYI - through this weekend the BBJP at the Grand is AAAKK beat. That's pretty loose. The tightest is the GS which is quad 10's beat. Chip could tell us about the Shoe (actually Chip could prolly tell us about all. |

[ QUOTE ] DON'T ASK. Or at least, wait until it hits. THEN ASK. [/ QUOTE ] Have you ever considered a career change? Do it for yourself before you die from stress. If you wont do it for yourself, do it for the hundreds if not thousands of people that come to your cardroom to have some fun, and whose time you ruin every chance you get when you see even the slightest twinkling of enjoyment in their expressions. [/ QUOTE ] Sorry, it's been a rough week. I'll snap out of it. I thought the "montage" I wrote was funny. [shrug] |

[/ QUOTE ] Actually most casinos take out a certain percent for a backup daily and 100% of the main jackpot is paid out when it hits. A certain percent of the backup goes into the new backup when the main hits. Confused yet? |

Re: bad beat jackpot
Harrahs AC casinos are Aces full of Jacks or better. The full house has to be with pocket aces and the quads have to be with pocket pair.
And 10 percent of the jackpot is used to reseed the pot. It's all in the fine print of the BBJ card they had around the rooms. I don't know how the Hilton works. |
