This is a terrible flop, agreed, only worse non-ace flops would be things akin to QJ9, or monosuited etc. As played, for his stack size, I'm probably not folding, but this is a gross spot.

so if we aren't folding whats best call and see a turn and likely openshove since giving 2 free ones can really suck here or just jam flop

I think a minraise here usually means either a set or more of a pure bluff than a semibluff (AQ, or AK come to mind). I think that changes the strategy you should use.

I don't think I'm ever folding here. I might min 4 bet and shove any non A turn. Or call and bet small on the turn.

i jam flop. he's hand range is wide if he's calling your rr given he only starts the hand with 700.

I think this is a really easy fold. Seems like the most standard way-behind/slightly ahead position possible, especially since he's unknown (and presumably not a regular who you'd need to worry about being exploited against, etc).

If his hand range is wide that probably hurts us more than helps us (makes stuff like JT more possible)... also even if his PF hand range is wide that doesn't mean his minraising range on a board like this is wide (which I don't think it is)

agreed

but I do think it includes some hands that are worse than mine such as pair+fd/straight draw or 66, 55, TT, JJ, QQ maybe

certainly two pair/sets/straights as well which I am super [censored] against but its hard to determine whether he has it or not here without shoving and seeing if he calls......does that make it the right play? idk

discuss
