Alright, I'm pretty sure I [censored] this one up. It is early in the match well before I had a read. I'm not going to bother to omit the results here because the way I played it is going to make it obvious regardless.

I know the standard thought with flopped quads is "OMG U GOT QUADS SLOW PLAY TO RIVER" but I find that in at least half of my games this is a poor way to extract because the line reeks of monster. If I had been checked into or was OOP I believe my best line would be to bet here, but as played I think this is one of those times where I believe slow playing is best.

Given stack sizes and that this villain seems pretty generic thus far, I believe my best play would have been to call to river then shove regardless of whether it is checked or bet into me.

Thoughts?

I'd call the turn. Hopefully the river is an A/K/Q and he hits or bluff shoves. If you're gonna raise the turn, just shove. Minraising there looks soooooooo fishy.

Raise flop or call down minraising the turn is letting him off as easy as possible.

I figured since he would be getting like 4:1 without implied odds if he hit I would get a call there since a poorly played low PP probably shows up more often than a boat.

I don't mini raise that often so it would make more sense , given my style of play, to either make a larger turn raise , or smooth call and hope he leads out on the river .

Doesn't your line look exactly like a 2 here? Your opponent is already building the pot so give him a chance to put more money in on the river and not be able to get away from the pot.

What hand is he calling your suspicious minraise with that isn't betting the river or calling down a $26 bet from you?

Also, the way the pot size/stack size is shaping up, the river is an excellent opportunity for him to allin bluff. Give him a chance to make this mistake.

I know it looks strong, but you have to call turn as well, especially IP.

If he has a big hand, he's stacking off on the river.

As played you have no (I'm going to make up a term here) "reverse bluff equity..." meaning there is little to no chance for villain to bluff.
