The last time I pointed out to a player next to me that I could see his hole cards when he looked at them, half the table acted like I was trying to cheat.

Truely, no good deed goes unpunished.

In 1300+ hours at CP I've seen exactly one card marked in this manner. It was an A, and I pointed it out to the dealer. He couldn't see the mark and mixed it into the deck. The next night I was dealt the same card (as unlikely as that seems). This time, I announced the card and suit exactly without touching it.

uh huh. I've got 700 hours of Canterbury play on record (more than that really) and I have never seen a card that I thought may have been intentionally marked.

I love Canterbury Park. I think it is extremely well-run.

They have an extremely low tolerance for abusive players.

They keep the games moving.

For the most part, the dealers are very good.

The players are loose, but play reasonably quickly.

The only downside to the room is that the booze is not free and the food is not very good.
