Default How would you have played this hand?

I know the turn probably should not have gotten to CAP town, but I just couldn't put him on the straight with the preflop action. Tell me how you would have played it.

by results i mean in general who else got to showdown and what their hands were

and if you have a decision about a particular street usually just post the action only up to that street

I have always raised 88 from UTG in a ten handed game. I have been playing only 6-max for the last few months but when I do start playing in that game again I may start limping 88 and LRR AA and KK per the advice in WITHG.

Stox gives these reasons in Quiz No. 15.1 on pg. 325:

Pocket eights are not strong enough to raise 7 seats off the button although it has decent equity and implied odds.
Calling provides cover for the times that you attempt to LRR with aces or kings.

I admit that i have my reservations but this is not the first time that I have seen this advice.

BBB,

I think that I would have been slightly disappointed if that wasn't your reaction.

Thanks guys. I'm mainly a short-handed player, but the table filled up so I was just playing around until I had to post again.

I'm a lot more comfortable playing a hand like this live than online for some reason .

I know I sucked out, but pocket fives was the ONLY hand I was worried about. I was 75% sure he had a lower set until he capped the turn; that's the point where I began to pray for the board to pair.

Bada-Bing-Bada-Boom!
