Thanks for the replies...

My thinking on betting the flop was that since everyone checked to me was:

1. they're afraid that I might have AA, AK
2. everyone missed the flop completely and/or the A and K just scares everybody.... remain aggressive.
3. the best I could hope for on the River was to catch another J or a Q and make the Straight. That only gives me 4 outs, betting on the River just didn't seem like a good play.

Since my bet thinned the field to one caller I just didn't think betting on the Turn was going to get him out.

If he had bet on the River I more than likely would have called, wouldn't have liked it.

FWIW 1lp player showed QQ

Thanks again for the replies. Any suggestions on how to improve my hand posts are more than welcome.

Wait, I thought the heads up villain was lp2. Did I miss something?

You're looking at this the wrong way. If he had a king or better it's likely he would bet the river. Since he didn't, it's likely (although how likely could be debated) that he has a hand you beat AND will call a bet. So you bet once he checks. But calling is a losing play. It would be very, very rare for him to bet less than a king.

As far as posting goes, you can manually enter live hands to look like they came from a converter. I like to think I do a good job of this. Linky to good example.

It's important to always note the pot size. Take the rake into consideration. In your OP you should have subtracted an SB from the pot to account for it.

Does no one like a checked flop and bet on the turn when checked to? Representing a slow played A, 2 pair or set?

I might try to run that semi-bluff on the turn and if called and checked to on the river I'd check thru.

I like a flop bet here, mainly because I think it get it checked to you on the turn. On the turn you've picked up some outs and I like a check. You're not going to induce a better hand to fold, and you've got some outs. Take your freebie. On the river I'd have been willing to call one bet, but would also check behind and expect to see a garbage King a lot.

True. I didn't pay attention to all of the callers. If there were only 3 I would prolly try the semi-bluff on the turn.

I just take my showdown now.

Maybe headsup, I bet again on the turn, but only if I think my opponent can lay down a king here.

I think betting the flop is an horrible mistake. You are good like never, and if you are good, you are not going to chase anyone out. Since the pot is big you want to hit your two+ outer really bad, and cheaply. I cannot see betting the turn on the river. On the river worse hands will call your bet, but better onces as well. I don't see much value with so many people in the pot.
