HUSNG: Facing 3 bet with ATs
This is the first time that villain has 3 bet me preflop, I have raising about 40% of my hands from the button so far and this opponent has been calling oop most of the time.
Three questions: 1. What range do you put villain on? 2. Do you call here? Why or Why not? 3. If you do decide to call, what is your plan for the rest of the hand? Including Flop, turn and river Full Tilt Poker No Limit Holdem Tournament Blinds: t15/t30 2 players Converter Stack sizes: Hero: t1855 BB: t1145 Pre-flop: (2 players) Hero is SB with T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Hero raises to t60, BB raises to t180, Hero ? |

Re: HUSNG: Facing 3 bet with ATs
easy call... villians are 3betting a minraiser so light specially if you raise 40% of your hands... ATs is a very stong hand pf an shouldn't be far behind is range :P

Also, I don't think people 3-bet light nearly as often as you'd think they would (especially if they've been calling raises a lot) Still, he could very well be 3betting something like A9, KQ or a pocket pair and you do have position. I'd probably call and tread carefully on the flop. |

Re: HUSNG: Facing 3 bet with ATs
I'm not a big fan of the min raise, but I'm calling this and probably underplaying my hand as a bluff catcher unless I flop a monster draw or something.

Re: HUSNG: Facing 3 bet with ATs
The flop came KTxr and villain bet out out 2/3 of the pot.
Can I play this like a bluffcatcher like xSCWx mentions,do I raise or do I fold? |

Re: HUSNG: Facing 3 bet with ATs
Lol, minraise is standard here IMO and I call if I have a good handle on this villain post flop.
People play horrible in 3-bet pots, ATs is definitely good enough to play, but this being his first 3-bet is somewhat worrisome. |

[ QUOTE ] Can I play this like a bluffcatcher like xSCWx mentions,do I raise or do I fold? [/ QUOTE ] lol what are you talking? your post is conflicting [/ QUOTE ] Lets me see if I can explaing what I meant: xSCWx mentions that he might play AT as a bluff catcher postflop I was wondering if a flop of KTxr is a good flop to just call villains bets, letting him bluff of chips or is it at Automatic fold or maybe even a raise. [ QUOTE ] Easy call. Why do you minraise? [/ QUOTE ] It was something I was just trying at the time but now I realize that I am giving up ev by not raising pot because my opponents call way too much oop. Why is this an Easy call? I am worried about calling this because I am unsure what to do unless I hit two pair or a ten high flop, I am not comfortable going all in with a pair of aces because I think If will be dominated more often than not and even if I flop a flush draw and Villain bets as little as 1/2 the pot I don't want to put in so much of my stack chasing, even if I have position How would you play a flush draw or an Ace high flop? |
