Default PLO $0.05/0.10 Beginner\'s question

$10 stacks.
UTG limps.
SB limps.
I check in BB with Q7T2

Flop: JhQhQ

I check because I'm afraid of draws and better kickers or even full houses. Opposition is playing "everything". Was this stupid?

It gets checked around.

Turn: 7

I'm still afraid and check-fold. Should I have bet out.
What if I check and someone bets without reads?

I'm very new in Omaha so I have difficulties gauging the strength of different hands.

I think you're playing too passively. A 3/4 pot bet on the flop will tell you where you are and certainly bet the turn. Excatly QTxx is beating you then. You hand is strong on the flop and you might get called by a str/flush draw combo by a bad player.

Way to passive.

I'd bet the flop, then the turn adn then the river if I could get called down.
