I typed out a long response about this. But to shorten it up. Its a basic lie unless you're a mega idiot or use strange accounting.

My average bet is $10k so the juice would be $1000 not $1100 but close enough.

[/ QUOTE ]

you arent very good at lying. you should say the juice is $1000not would be $1000.

henry17 - Have I not seen you on Stars playing somewhere around the 1/2 to 3/6 limits or somewhere in there?
Pretty sure I have and you mentioned in a different thread that you hadn't seen onlinepro in your 1/2 games.

So you're playing that low in internet-poker and then playing that high in sports-betting....and are paying -110 juice?

Do you have like $500k for your sports-betting bankroll and $1.5k for your poker bankroll?

[/ QUOTE ]

My normal online level is 5-10 / 10-20 except during football season when I play between 1-2 and 5-10. I just like having the site going with one or two tables while doing other stuff. Not really playing seriously. My goal for poker is just to make enough to pay for my daily consumables.

I don't have a bankroll separate form my other money. I guess my net worth is my bankroll. I don't have a job so I don't see the need to have separate counts.

I actually believe both are correct syntax. I'm not really a language expert. Regardless, this bores me. I have no benefit in trying to impress a bunch of people I'll never meet. There are at least 2 (probably 5) people on 2P2 who actually know me in real life so I can't really lie without getting caught

I am a UK fan that's why I said "we're"

Here is my only other lock I've posted on this board, it was a UK college basketball game last year and the thread turned out similar to this one.

Yes...the whole "would be" syntax thing is not catching you in a lie at all. He's reading way too much into it and determining that it must be hypothetical because you said 'would be' but a lot of people speak that way when referring to absolutes also.

"Actually it's not quite $1100. I bet $10k per game so my juice would actually be only $1000."
That is how a lot of people talk and does absolutely nothing to prove that you were caught in a lie or anything ridiculous like that.

I find it hard to believe that you bet 10k a game, but play 1-2 limit? GTFO

Even if you are a sports bettor first, and poker player second this is rediculous.

This is equivalent to a $100/game sports bettor playing .01/.02 limit, or a 25/50 NL player betting $5/game.

The money you make in a week playing 1-2 could be replaced by finding 1 game with a -105 line instead of dime lines.

this thread has gotten way off track, and we're not paying attention to the lock of the century as its unfolding

I don't know what GTFO means.

I don't feel comfortable playing higher then 10-20 online. Playing 5-10 or playing 1-2 makes no difference. If I have a bad weekend it is not like I'm going to come close to recovering any meaningful money via poker. I do it more as a habit. Also as long as I'm taping my screen it looks like I'm busy so less likely that any one will come over and talk to me.

Also I only play 1-2 when actually either working on something else or watching games. Otherwise I play higher.

look, obviously he is lying. But more importantly, THE LOCK OF THE CENTURY IS IN TROUBLE Vandy 13-10, Kentucky at their own 40. Vandy with a 20 point lead vs. OP's spread.
