If you're going to fold to his c/r here, then I prefer to check behind the turn...

also, if you are ahead now he doesnt seem to have many outs and checking behind on the turn almost ensures that you will sd your hand since he likely wont c/r river.

I'd fold the check raise on the turn......before reading this post I'd likely to have bet the turn. It's makes far more sense to check the turn, control the pot size and call a vb on the river.

TAGs cold-calling 3-bets pre-flop is an indication of TT-QQ most of the time from my experience. so, probably best to check the turn/call the river. bet river if checked to.

And given his range, what are thoughts on sometimes checking behind this flop and then calling a turn and possibly a river bet (or betting turn if checked to)?

Gives AK free chance to draw, as well as QQ an 99

i think betting flop and checking turn gives us more control over how much $$$ goes into the pot.

Not a good turn bet. A 16/13 cold calling a 3-bet OOP is usually TT+ and occasionally AK. He doesn't call the flop with AK often enough to justify a turn protection bet. You're getting CRAI on the turn, alot - and getting value rarely, against QQ only.
