oh yeah....I think the whole push for this is 100NL & 200NL players want an ego boost that they are posting in a higher forum

Well that's certainly not my reasoning.

Like I stated before, people have actually sent me pms telling me that they don't participate much because their 5NL and 10NL hands feel out of place.

And when there is a micro-stakes thread it's not unusual to see one of the 100NL-200NL guys commenting that "It's only $10! Just push it all-in!"

But I do see how some of the higher players are annoyed and just want their own place to post hands without all the "noise".

I don't really think an ego-boost is what anybody is really looking for. And I don't see how the forum split would provide this anyways.

This happens frequently, plus there is a ton of bad advice from players who play higher, esp to the .02/.04 guys, I'd assume since the money seems inconsequential to them.

I'm not sure that's it, maybe for a few.

I'd like a split because I recently started posting there in an attempt to "give back" and try and help some of the new, struggling players. The NL100 and higher posts seem out of place and definitely intimidate the real micro players from posting IMO.

I'm a little worried that traffic will drop significantly in both forums just because it's a really small subset culture that plays full ring. It works because there's enough guys who are really into full ring for their own forum, but traffic might be split too far.

However, I'm all for it if the regulars truly believe there's enough need.

What does it say about a forum when only micro-stakes posters post there?

That it's a micro-stakes forum?

But it was never billed as a micro-stakes forum. I was always a strong proponent of the full ring forum so that all the full ring nits would get out of the regular forums. But now that you want to add another link to the sidebar, it's no longer just fun and games. That thing is out of control already.

Heaven forbid another link is added to the sidebar for your inconvenience. I guess next time we should create a forum that isn't desired at all.

Here come the nits boyz!

honestly, if you could keep only bbv, nvg, atf, hsfl, hsnl, msnl, eld, and oot, that would be great. think about how much neater the sidebar would look?
