Can\'t edit post, help
The edit link isn't showing up for any of my posts. I am logged in, have cookies enabled, tried both firefox and IE.
Any help? |

Re: Can\'t edit post, help
There is a 15ish minute window, after that the option goes away.

Re: Can\'t edit post, help
The edit option is only available for 30 minutes after you make the post.

Re: Can\'t edit post, help
Thanks for the info, I tried searching the forums for it and couldn't the info anywhere, even googled for "UBB thread". I suggest adding it to the FAQ.
Can you tell me why the forums are run this way? It seems that edit anytime is standard on the other forums I read. |

Re: Can\'t edit post, help
I get that but you can quote them when you reply, or just quote them and say QFT if you think it's going to get changed. It just never seemed to be a problem on other website forums. An edit combined with a "see all changes" would be perfect, almost like Wiki, but I haven't seen this done anywhere.
Was the 30 minutes to edit always a rule from the start of 2+2 or something implemented because of abuse? |
