[ QUOTE ]
Decided that the 50 beers challenge was impossible for me personally, and that the marathon was possible, but the recovery time wasn't worth it. I like to keep in good shape, and the marathon would require a long recovery time as well as it would interfere with my personal ability to do my job.

[/ QUOTE ]

if you drank 50 beers in 24 hours your BAC would be .583. If you drank 4 beers an hour for 12 hours it would be .817.

Miller Lite shouldn't be allowed for such a challenge.

So you'd expect to be dead, right? According to Wikipedia 0.4 is the LD-50 level, i.e., 50% chance of death at this point.

Calories in 1 pound of fat = 3500
Calories in 1 can of Miller Lite = 96
Calories in 50 cans of Miller Lite = 4800
Total amount of pure lard gained ~ 1.37 pounds

yea, a .58 is survivable by hardcore alcoholics but you're gonna be hurting. I remember watching howard stern, and he had hank the angry drunken dwarf on, and they gave him a breathalyser, he blew in the high .5's or so which seemed pretty amazing, because he was still standing around talking with them. .87 isn't survivable.

This is so gay. 50 beer is 24 hours is so easy. In our student bar we have a 24 hour contest every year. The idea is to drink as much "ad fundums" as possible. All time Record stands at 124. The average winner has around 80-85

[/ QUOTE ]

I love threads like this because it always brings out a bunch of 18 yo kids who think they know everything about drinking, and their group of college friends know how to drink better then everyone.

99.9% of the population wouldn't be able to finish 50 beers in 24 hours. It's something that only the hardest of alcoholics, or the fatest of men are able to accomplish.
