Jill Rockcastle's murder trial is set for October 29th. Unfortunately, it is in San Ramon, CA and not Las Vegas. I would've been very interested in going to check out some of the trial. I'm not sure about the ins and outs of law, so can the law-buffs tell me why the case would not be in Vegas (where the crime took place)?

Don't know for sure, but defense probably filed a motion that since deceased was a poker pro, it would be difficult to have a fair trial in Vegas. Motion to try the case in defendant's home city.
