Default How much $$$?

My roommate got a new 24in dell monitor and will no longer be needing his 2001FP 20inch monitor so I'm going to buy it off of him. Fwiw, I agreed to buy it off of him before he decided to get a new monitor and the monitor is in good condition(used ~1yr). What's a fair price/a good way to decide a fair price?

Relevant info:
Ebay says $185 - $300 for 2001FP in good condition
Friend A says to pay him $350 (?)
Friend B says 200 max.

What to do OOT?

I spent about 45 seconds of research and found this.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824252008

There are plenty of other deals on there too, or elsewhere for that matter.

I'm looking for a 1600*1200 monitor. That monitor you posted is a good deal though.

$250 seems fair and generous. Unfortunately he probably won't see it as generous. You're saving him all the trouble of ebaying it and shipping it, etc.

to bump... i am the seller / also this is in canada so to be nitty, monitors are more expensive here

fwiw, the 350 was CDN, but i prob should've mentioned that. also no dead pixels, dunno if warranty is still going.

on dell.ca its 450CDN new, with taxes prob like 520. so 350 would be 33% off.

[/ QUOTE ]he should pay whatever it would cost to get him on ebay, not what the new price is, unless you're selling in new in box and he wants it new in box. Remember, if you don't like his deal, just sell it on ebay yourself.
