Default 50NL - AKs OTB gets called and 3bet preflop

Full Tilt Poker, $0.25/$0.50 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 5 Players
LeggoPoker.com - Hand History Converter

BB: $55.35
UTG: $50
CO: $31.85
Hero (BTN): $54.45
SB: $50.75

Pre-Flop: A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (BTN)
2 folds, <font color="red">Hero raises to $2</font>, SB calls $1.75, <font color="red">BB raises to $8</font>, Hero ???

villain is 11/11 over 50 hands

just moved to 50NL so I'm not sure how likely it is that he's making a play here or doing this light enough for me to 4bet and get it in...

or is it standard procedure to just call here?

I call here, youre in position so taking a flop isnt bad. 4b/shoving isnt bad either but I rather do that oop.
