Guys: I rarely give out custom titles, but I would like to retain the privildge, since some posters have done things to earn it. Can we please come to a gentleman's agreement that we will stop doing this? I'm not even suggesting a hard and fast number. I think we should have sense enough to police ourselves here.

Just search for Tuff_fish in BBV for the past month and you will see the craze.

We already had a thread in the mod forum about giving him a custom title and Cola said it was fine. It seems a little late now to be complaining about it.

Yea, heres the mod forum thread. Bobby linked the actual BBV one. There were at least 10 different threads about the guy and his videos, though. You should check them out if you haven't seen them yet, as they were hilarious, and got quite a response.

Custom titles are fun, they don't hurt anything, and I see no reason to hold off on them.

Some people end up being a bit offended or bothered by their customer-titles if they are super insulting.
If they leave because of this then 2+2 is losing business (although it can be argued that the ones who get the insulting titles are bringing down the quality of the forums and we want them to leave anyway).

Wasn't that virus-guy pretty bothered by a custom-titled that Jason T pinned on him?


I alwo think some of the custom-title stuff feeds into the idea that mods are ego-crazy-power-trippy and I don't think that's a perception we want.

Basically it allows a mod to pin some sort of scarlet-letter on some random guy without even needing to take any responsbility for it (since often-times it is done anonymously).
