It's just a different form of poker, people who whine about shortstackers are just too lazy to adapt.

[/ QUOTE ]I'm not too lazy to adapt. I make plenty of money from crappy shortstackers. I just think playing against shortstackers (good or not) isn't fun. When I want to play shortstack poker, I play STTs. I play NL HE for the complexity that comes with deeper stacks. It sucks when you can't make plays because a shortstacker is involved in the hand. It just makes the game less enjoyable.

So that's my frustration. It has nothing to do with profitability.

Bad month for me.Plenty of bad play. My CPU [censored] the bed so I only have a partial graph...first 50K hands was slightly>breakeven.

I'm getting a bit burnt out but need to get my 300K VPP milestone bonus. Looking forward to a 2 week vacation after 7 months of grinding.

Yup.. its an error in the game as its set up with variable BIs. they just exploit an error in the system.. very sleazy. its a different game, no.. its called exploiting the rules to gain an unfair advantage over people that want to play for certain stakes.

Goals for Nov.: Play better, run better and actually make money instead of donating.

[/ QUOTE ]

Also 3.5k in bonuses. I actually lost $$ in cash tourneys but did win a PCA seat which netted to +6.5k.

All together a $20k month.

play good run good....

I was hoping 8 ptbb/100 at 100nl might be sustainable after I completely revamped my playing style, but after looking at PokerEV I think I just run awesome. BUT the green line is the highest!

+300 in bonuses
+150 in sportsbetting
-250 in donkaments

December goals:

- get some sort of Ironman accomplishment, preferably Silver if I can play that much (finals suck dick imo)
- keep running hot
- take shots at 1/2
- get good grades for once
- STOP playing microstakes 6max when I'm wasted...

If the minimum buy-in is a certain amount, you should be allowed to sit at the table with that amount. I agree that ratholing isn't the best for the games, but there really isn't anyway to stop this besides the minimum time required to sit back at a table without buying in for what you left with. What would you advocate that could fix this problem, yet let joe recreational gambler plop down his minimum buy-in, donk around, double up and leave?

A game with variable buy-ins has different strategy, there will be different sized stacks no matter what.

I know people aren't going to agree with me on this, and I'm not expecting anyone too. I guess my main point is that people should be able to play within the rules of the game and use whatever strategy they desire. The advantage it has is making LAG play less profitable, but you limit yourself on how much you can win on a particular hand. If you think short-stacking isn't "real" poker, then tournaments aren't "real" poker, especially SNGs.
