Default Patience Factor for WSOP Events

I do not purport to be an expert on Snyder's formula or an advocate for it, but it does seem that his "Patience Factor" tells you at least something, in a single number, about how fast the structure is. With this in mind -- and using the excel spreadsheet on Snyder's website along with the structure sheets on the WSOP site -- it appears that the various buy-in NLH events will have the following Patience Factors:

Buy-in Patience Factor

$1,500 14.93 (events 3*, 15, 27, 35, 38, 49)

$2,000 19.09 (events 10, 25, 47)

$2,500 23.48 (event 19)

$3,000 27.09 (event 28*)

$5,000 39.41 (event 22)

$10,000 89.01 (main event*)

If this has already been posted elsewhere, please feel free to ignore; I was doing the calculations for my own use and though some might find them helpful.

* Represents an event ESPN intends to broadcast.

You are certainly free to find this information uninteresting, and maybe it is. On the other hand, there are countless posts on these forums in which people are trying to compare structures to see which events offer more play for their money. This provides some measure of comparison for various WSOP buy-ins as to the amount of play the structure provides; I found it helpful and posted it. Sorry you found it so worthless, but thanks for taking the time to provide such a thoughtful response.

What I found interesting about computing the PF for this year's structure was how little difference there was between this year and prior years. This in spite of the double starting stacks.

According to what I heard, in most events the double starting stacks are offset by the fact that the levels start twice as high. The difference is only felt in some of the lower buy-in events where very strange structures were found last year (i.e. the ladies' event with $1000 in chips starting at 25/25, and the 1.5k Stud and Razz events starting with ante/bring-in/small/big at 5/5/10/20)

Has anyone calculated the PF for the Bellagio Cup events that will run parallel to the WSOP? It would be interesting to compare them to the lower-buyin WSOP events.
