This seems ridiculously easy.

Largest Dirndl Dress

It would only cost you fabric and some time to make. You could even pay a seamstress to do it. I can't imagine that this would cost more then a few hundred dollars to do.

The problem here would be that if you paid a seamstress to do it, she'd probably be the one who'd get in the book. He'd have to learn to use a sewing machine, but this could be done.

Yup. It's official. I asked for a copy to post here, but his wife wouldn't agree to that (can't really blame her).

Here's one I read about a few years ago that might be do-able if he's got the stamina for it.
The guy who did this likes bowling obviously but he's not a pro or anything like that.
He's a minor-league baseball announcer in Carolina named Pat Kinas.
It's one of those records where it makes me think, "that would be tough, but I might actually be able to do that."

"Kinas' name can be found in the Guinness Book of World Records for marathon bowling. He rolled for 34 hours, 23 minutes to raise money for the September 11 Fund."

I know there's a story somewhere in the archives of BaseballAmerica.com but I think that's a pay-subscription thing.
I do remember them saying he needed to bowl with both arms to pull off the record. Getting a lighter ball to do this would probably be necessary.

Who knows? I prolly wouldn't have made this bet without first knowing which record I could break, but I'm curious to see what the OOT collective comes up with. Could be something that is fairly easy to do (as far as I know, if something isn't currently IN the book, you can do it and get the first record of it - so just find something to eat/drink/do that isn't int he book yet).

GL to your friend!

I got it.

Largest Card Game Tournament

http://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/reco...tournament.aspx

Have him do the paperwork and turn it in for the 2005 WSOP Main Event, he gets the world record in the book, he wins the bet. We all know it's the larges card game tournament, but noone has bothered to turn in the paperwork for it.

It might be worth coming up with a new record category. I imagine most are refused, but it would be an easy way to win the bet. From the guinness site:

"If you wish to try something that hasn’t been done before or have already attempted a potential record then we'll need to pass your suggestion on to our research department first. They'll decide if it's something that we're interested in establishing as a new record category. If we are, they'll draw up the necessary guidelines and send them to you. If not, we can always suggest other records that you may wish to attempt."
