Videogame Canon: Sega Genesis
- Sonic the Hedgehog
- NBA Live '95 - Madden (which one?) - Phantasy Star 2 That's all I know, I didn't own a Genesis until 1999. Genesis was big for sports, so there might be more of them that should go here. I can't think of any other non-sports games that should. |

Re: Videogame Canon: Sega Genesis
Genesis threw me for a minute there.
NBA Live '95 was unreal, I played it non-stop for years. Sonic 2 was great, Micro Machines 2 Tournament Edition was great, WWF Royal Rumble was great. Good times. |

Re: Videogame Canon: Sega Genesis
'94 NHL
EDIT: This is really the pinnacle of Genesis for me. I guess Sonic or Echo or something screams, "Genesis!" to most people since Sonic was supposed to be their signature franchise and I remember Echo being a big deal, but for me it doesn't get better than NHL '94. I also really liked Shadowrun, I thought that game was incredible. |

Re: Videogame Canon: Sega Genesis
Fifa 95 was good. Pressing C after you scored to hear the GOOOOAAALLLLL! ruled.

Re: Videogame Canon: Sega Genesis
In addition to WWF Royal Rumble, WWF Raw. More wrestlers and a couple of new moves. No Million Dollar Man though.
Sonic 1-2, not a big fan fo 3 but I could see why people would mention it. MKI-III were solid games. Joe Montana '94, I want to say, was pretty fun. NBA Jam + TE were also very solid. |
