Default Top Two on drawheavy board

Hi MSNL,

My question is about the flop. Push flop or a normal raise. As played there was a psb left on the turn and i push. What do you think is the optimal flop play?

I think you played it fine. Maybe a little bigger reraise on the flop.

What's the stats on UTG? If you are playing for value and believe he'd call a push with something like TPTK, by all means push.

I'm playing for stacks against an unknown with 2pair <100BB.

I bet more initially on the flop and would also make the 3-bet higher.

Edit:typo

This hand has been played fine. The board was drawheavy, so villain could be doing this with a draw a lot, we are ahead of one-pair hands; my initial bet on this flop will be more like $4; as played, please make at least a pot-sized 3-bet after his raise, which in this case means raising to about $24. This pot-sized raise also effectively eliminates your turn decision as you will push with any hands that you played on the flop this way with a fraction of a PSB left.

btw. this is uNL, not MSNL... MS is the abbrev for Mid-Stakes...
