opponent is 40/20/2.4 over 150 hands. is this a spot where if i make the 4 bet i need to call the shove? with such an opponent i dont think i can just call the 3-bet, or can i and let him bet into me?

Vs this guy I think 4betting and calling a shove is a solid play. He will push with other hands than AA/KK/AK. But calling his 3bet is fine too. 4bet/fold is by far your worst option.

Against this clown with position I'll usually just call the 3 bet.

However, I don't think there's anything wrong with this line either. You have to call, his range is alot wider than AA KK
