Re: NCAAF rankings post week 5 carnage
This is such a clusterfuck. Haha. I love college football. I was about to start this thread, as I knew you guys could not resist.
Okay: 1) LSU A&M 2) USC Yes, no more fence sitting. I'm willing to put my Tigers first now. 3) Cal-Berkeley 4) tOSU ...umm.... 5) Notre Dame? [censored], forgot they suck balls this year. I actually have to think hard about this! 5) Oregon 6) Florida 7) Oklahoma 8) South Carolina 9) Kentucky 10) [censored] it, Notre Dame Seriously, #10 is South Florida. So effing weird. EDIT: I left out Boston College. They maybe should be 8-10. It's hard though. |

Re: NCAAF rankings post week 5 carnage
Reasonable points. It just SOUNDS so ludicrous. Missouri. I would put them around 12, so I can't fault you too much when I actually think about it.
This whole thing is so effing nuts! |

Re: NCAAF rankings post week 5 carnage
Wow, surprised to see everyone so high on Oregon now. If I was going 100% on talent, they'd probably be #4, but I figured it was only fair to give USF and BC the benefit of the doubt, especially with USF's win at Auburn looking much more impressive. From a predictive standpoint, turnovers don't mean much, but I still think you have to dock a team a little bit when they give away the game like that.

Re: NCAAF rankings post week 5 carnage
It's tough to give BC the benefit of the doubt when they had to hang on against a 1-AA school, and USF is hurt by the fact that Auburn is so young on the oline and they lost to Miss St the next week, so the team they beat and the team that beat Florida look like two different teams. That's why this is so hard to rank, everyone either lost or is undefeated but doesn't look like a top 10 team, it's madness. Just for laughs, here's mine.
1. LSU 2. USC 3. Cal 4. OSU 5. Oregon 6. Kentucky 7. Oklahoma 8. USF 9. Florida 10. WVU 11. BC 12. Missouri 13. South Carolina 14. Georgia 15. Wisconsin |

Re: NCAAF rankings post week 5 carnage
Yeah, thought it over and decided to switch them. BC hasn't done much outside the Georgia Tech game and that was just a perfect matchup. #7's high enough for them right now.

Re: NCAAF rankings post week 5 carnage
As an OSU homer I can't agree w/ Cal being better than OSU. I have been on the Cal and LSU bandwagon since the beginning of the year tho.
Right now. 1a USC 1b LSU ( in no particular order) 3a Cal 3b OSU ( in no particular order) Everyone else is just hoping these 4 get beat so they can move up. I have no clue where anyone else is. Luckily for OSU, Cal and USC play. GO BUCKS |

Re: NCAAF rankings post week 5 carnage
I'm assuming everyone has Oregon and Oklahoma still ranked above Wisconsin just because Wisconsin has been barely winning games as opposed to losing them?

Re: NCAAF rankings post week 5 carnage
I can't shake the memories of getting a half dozen cut ins to the Wisconsin-Citadel game, so it's going to take more than a 3 point win over Mich St for me to think that they're any good.

Re: NCAAF rankings post week 5 carnage
1USC
2LSU 3Cal 4OSU 5USF 6Kentucky 7BC 8Florida 9Wisconsin 10WVU USF and Kentucky have won big games on the road and at home so I don't have a problem putting them up there. Florida has very slim hopes now since it will have to win out in the SEC. I feel like USC is going to be playing for it all even if they lose a game. There just isn't a very good chance of two teams running the table this year. |
