Default turn $50 into $20000 within 3 months, what are the odds?

I am wondering what the odds are for a really top player to turn $50 into $20000 within 3 months. Of course, I am talking about doing it with sound bankroll managment. more than 50% or close to 10%?

I don't think its likely but not impossible. 6 weeks ago I had no money in my stars account as I had cashed it all out. I borrowed 25 bucks from a poster here (Josem) and grinded out at the low limit HU matches for a month and now I have 2400 bucks in my account. That was like 6 weeks ago. Now I'm playing $50s and $100s and will soon play higher but I imagine in another 6 weeks I'll only have like 6-7K in there.

BUt I don't play full time and I'm not super-great at poker so I think this could be done with very hard work and sound discipline.

If you used a very aggressive bankroll strategy to get to the 11s asap, then played Speed 11s with a 20% ROI, 5-days a week, 150 per day (which equates to about 7.5 hours 12-tabling) then after 12 weeks of JUST playing 11s and not moving up you would have 0.2*11*150*5*12 = $19800.

I agree the ROI of 20% might be a bit optimistic, but even at 15% you could just play more hours each day, 6 days a week or hope for a greater $/hr by moving up from the 11s.

- actually this is almost *exactly* what I did I started with $20 on PP and played turbo $11 at an ROI of 20 until my bankroll was $1000 - then I moved up to PP turbo $22. It's completely possible to do with great bankroll management and some patience.
