5/10 Live at the Taj: Middle Set Deep

The game is 5/10 no limit at the taj. I bought in for the max buy of 1500 and have played a solid tag game that has nearly tripled me up in under two hours of play. villain in this hand is a vietnamise shrimper who has been playing really loose pre flop and post flop calling on flop with bottom/middle pair, but will only bet/raise with very good made hands.

UTG, pretty loose player opens to 50, Villain(2500-3000 behind) calls 50, I look down one off button at tens and decide to call and play for set value.

UTG leads for 150, Villain quickly Raises to 450, Hero calls 450, UTG folds
* At this point in the hand i decide to flat call due to the fact that i want to disguise my hands strength, control size of pot in position, see a safe turn, and feel it is possible for villain to easily have a hand that beats me. If i decide to three bet i think i lose value from two pair and bottom set and i leave myself open to a push which would basically have me pot stuck against a hand that beats me, which i believe is the only hand a loose passive villain would push here with.

* At this point in the hand villain bets about 1/6 of the pot and has me completely confused about his hand. I cant tell if this is massive strength of complete weakness. I reach for chips beginning to motion of a raise when he says something along the lines of, " you move all in a call." I contemplate my decision a little longer and just flat call. How bad is this? Does everybody push here? I feel as though i can value bet a good river card here and get payed off nicely.

Just shove the flop... you said yourself that he usually only raises w/ very good made hands... so he's probably not folding... You are not getting away from this against a loose opponent so just shove and let him call with his QT, 99, QJ, Q9, or combo draw...

push on the turn and pay off KJ or QQ. I highly doubt he has J8 or 68, and on the turn with no flushes out there, if he calls my all-in I'm happy [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

River is tough. He's already announced his intent to push on the turn, and I assume he'll push the river regardless of what hits. His weak turn bet seems like a draw to me, and his banter seems like intimidation i.e. trying to keep you from raising. I wouldn't expect this from a made hand.

I'd probably "call" the river all-in, but then hey, I'm a donk [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] Again, I would have pushed the turn. I hate the river.

I ended up mucking on river after about a minute of deliberation. Villain Showed As10s for the nut flush...kind of sick but i deserve that for being so weak on the turn.

to me, his turn lead screams, "i have a flush draw and i want a good price!!!"
I'd re-raise on the turn to $1500 or so, maybe even just go all in.

Once he made that comment i push... That is one of the most classic tells in poker... almost always means a super weak hand... just like when someone checks to you on river and grabs chips like he is gonna call you no matter what you bet...

I dont think he would raise to 450 on the flop w/ a made straight, seems more than likely that would drive everyone out and no reason to do that.

Your flat call there probably shows a big hand since the price is not nearly correct for a flush draw to call. I am assuming he has a Pair w/ a flush draw and possibly even a gutshot draw.

Thus, he thinks he is behind, donks a 1/6 pot bet to see a cheap river, and says he'll call because he thinks he is priced in but doesnt want you to bet.

I just cant think of many hands that he could possibly have that u have beat. If he isnt on a flush draw in a multiway pot, why would be push a flush card on the river?
