FWIW for those who just started following football in September, Ben Roethlisberger started off 2-6 last year. No excuse for that record with the talent the Steelers had.

Carson Palmer may not be having the 3rd best season of NFL quarterbacks but over the course of the past few seasons he's definitely #3.

Concussion, motorcycle accident, appendectomy. Still went .500. I give him a mulligan.

If you think the Browns have more offensive talent than the Bengals you are to quote another "an idiot".

[/ QUOTE ]

this year they certainly do. browns have better rb, immeasurably better te, and a stronger oline. wr1 is a wash. wr2 (housh) bengals are far superior.

Hold on there, I thought we weren't making excuses for people who were 2-6 on talented teams.

I'm not really convinced Cleveland has been that much better than Cincy, at least nowhere near enough as the record would indicate.

[/ QUOTE ]

I agree with this, and I think it'll be proven next year when the Bengals feast on a last place schedule just like the Browns are doing this year.

The Steelers. Main reason I started this thread was listening to Colin Cowherd today and he did a top 5 ranking and it upset me.

Isn't the Steelers record when he throws over 30 or 35 times in a game atrocious? I forget the exact stat, but it shows that the Steelers do not have success when they make Big Ben win games for them.

Top 3 QB's win games, not manage them.

reg season
30attempts, 35attempts

07 1-2, 0-1
06 1-7, 1-4
05 1-1, 0-1
04 high was 28attempts 1-0 in playoffs 30att

Big Ben and I don't think its that close. I'd put Brees at 4th. Palmer 5th. Favre 6th. Before the season, McNabb would've been somewhere on that list. Vick too before the problems he had. I'll add Derek Anderon and Vince Young to make a complete top 10.

Edit: Forgot about Romo...hes definitely up there too.

100,391 and counting
