i think its unlikely fingerswinger. beating 200nl is mostly just game theory (as opposed to psychology). Just table select well and dont tilt.

[ QUOTE ]
has anybody played with Toeswinger enough to guess if he's a winning player at 200NL?

i feel like i'm running sick bad, but it lasts so long that i can't blame it solely on variance. probably i've become pretty weak-tight after a few downswings. i'm trying to fix this, but i keep running bad.

also a general question:
how likely is it, an intelligent person who plays a lot (about 2000 hands a day) and also spends a lot of time reading 2+2, watching cardrunners videos and just "working on his game" the last four monts is actually a losing player at 200NL?
(i've played poker before for about half a year at 25NL to 100NL, but not that intensively)

[/ QUOTE ]

more info:

this is my graph since i played "seriously".
from hands 0 to 60,000 i played 20,000 hands at party 200NL and 20,000 at party 400NL, each with a winrate of 4.6 BB/100.

i've reviewed some sessions from that time, i had definitely a few leaks, made some very questionable plays sometimes. so if it was a 60,000 hands long heater, then it was a hell of a heater.
i feel like i'm clearly a better player now.

that first drop after 60,000 was just a very bad streak, but obviously i never recovered. i stepped down to 200NL when my bankroll shrunk too much.

would really appreciate your thoughts.

wow, thats rough man. I wish there was some advice i could give you other then the standard (dont tilt, table select, post hand etc..) I imagine you arent playing well because of the downswing. Maybe you're playing scared poker? Confidence is a big part of the game.

I think a good idea would be to post a video.

Jay, u obv sound like you are the next Bld, so wtf about u quit your [censored] whine about not being able to get more hands in than 15k/month. If you are as great as you think, why do you not spend more time at poker.

WTF is this? Probably 50% of the time when I close party I get this message then the program opens up again. I think, but I'm not sure, that my notes from those sessions are lost. Anyone else get this?

You saw him at 200nl? I was playing 400nl with him a week or two ago I think. He didn't really seem that great to me, but solid for sure.
