Default 100NL - 99 OOP in 3bet pot

Hi,

I feel like I'm misplaying mid pairs like JJ-99 in 3bet pots. If I 3bet and get called and the flop is all undercards I'm scared of a higher pair and when overcards flop I'm scared of them. I'm never comfortable playing these pairs for stacks, but I feel like I'm getting bluffed from the best hand too often.
Here is an example:

Party Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.50/$1 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)

Hero (SB): $160.33
BB: $100.00
UTG: $109.17
MP: $168.94
CO: $103.70
BTN: $53.81

Preflop: Hero is dealt 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (6 Players)
UTG calls $1.00, MP raises to $5.00, 2 folds, Hero raises to $16.00, 2 folds, MP calls $11.00

Flop: ($34) 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero bets $24.00, MP raises to $70.00

Villain was 44/33/inf over 27 hands, so no real reads.

How do you handle spots like this, and do you play these unimproved pairs for stacks very often?

I stack off there v a 44/33, even if it is only over 27 hands.

Damn this is a tough spot. Villian seems like a donk so I doubt he is really factoring in how aggro you have been with 3bing pf. Given that, I fold this first time just because he probably are going to see 1010-kk too much to make this call profitable, but if the same sort of spot comes up again and keeps going nuts in 3b pots then i would felt this kind of hand.

I'd say fold, especially 160BB deep...you will get better spots vs this guy.

I fold without much hesitation. 27 hands is barely 4 orbits and there's no reason to think he is just running a little hot.

Eh. I'd say it were more interesting w/ QQ. JJ = 99 here IMO.
