Nothing much has come out since AP's email that an announcement was coming and they did find evidence they were compromised.

I am damn near convinced that this isn't just Scott Tom in this conspiracy. Just check the last AP $500 tourney winner OSCAR133 and his history. I've discovered that there are too many occurrences like this at AP.
Matter of fact, check the winners of the past couple of months with a $500 buy-in. Its just too strange.

Do you have inside information, or are you just a noob who named himself as to appear to have inside information?

If the former, you'll find a good reception here. If the latter, get the [censored] out is as nice as its gunna get.

srsly, AP has had enough time to formulate a statement to at least indicate where they are going with this. Have they sent that email just to slow the 2+2 investigation down? It may be time for another dramabomb from our side of it to keep things rolling.

It will likely be another day or so before an official response comes out. They have admitted they were compormised and that those affected will be compensated. Just figuring out the compensation side will take time, think about tourney results and cash games et al. Will everyone that entered a tourney get their buyin back? What about those that were at [Insert Cheaters] table and finished just out of the money?

They also have to assemble information on the extent of the cheating and do so in a way that will limit the number of people that claim they were chetaed bercause their AA got cracked by 34o. This is going to take time.

Catching up on posts:

[ QUOTE ]
Adanthar says he thinks Scott Tom posted as

the watchdog

here. But that account hasn't posted in these AP scandal threads.

(also, Poker Addict apparently believes Scott Tom used the account pokermachine, which last spammed circa June 2007)

[/ QUOTE ]

Pokermachine is unquestionably Scott Tom. According to someone else in the casinomeister thread and Pokeraddict, The Watchdog is *not* Tom; however, they posted from the same bar in Costa Rica and they are unquestionably related in some way. How, I couldn't tell you.

Re: Payup:

I find it really annoying that someone managed to say they were Payup 3 weeks ago and then not contact me since then. My determination was based off two FT HH's where he was playing a style pretty close to soul reading, but I admit at that point I was tired of reading hundreds of superuser HH's and may have skimmed over an exculpatory hand here and there. If I'm wrong I'll happily retract it, while, again, remaining pretty pissed that in three weeks nobody bothered to tell me

Adanthar, I don't know what's up with Bulletproof Monk and PAYUP. Wasn't payup the 4th account that was only found when AP said they suspended one account more than we had our eye on? Has BpM been suspended, because PAYUP was, right? Is there some confusion in screen names?
